FRAGMENTER FRA EN FRIHEDSKAMP 1943 – 1945 – Foredragstur 2025
2025 markerer 80-året for afslutningen af 2. Verdenskrig. I dette foredrag følger historikeren Rune Edberg i
fodsporene på sin fars onkel, der var modstandsmand under besættelsen. Det bliver en rejse tilbage til
dramatiske begivenheder, som det tyske angreb på Jægersborg Kaserne d. 29. august 1943, forhør på Shellhuset
og fængselsophold i Vestre Fængsel, inden deportationen til Neuengamme, samt evakueringen med de hvide
busser til Sverige i april 1945.
I arbejdet med at afdække historien, har Rune været i kontakt med ti arkiver i tre lande, og bl.a. besøgt et
pakhus, der var en tidligere koncentrationslejr – og som i dag er lukket for offentligheden, men hvor mange
danske modstandsfolk mistede livet. Han er fortsat på jagt efter nye oplysninger om hans fars onkels tid som
modstandsmand.

Fragments of a Freedom Struggle 1943 – 1945
2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
In this lecture, historian Rune Edberg follows in the footsteps of his father’s uncle, who was a member of the Danish resistance during the occupation. It will be a journey back to dramatic events such as the German attack on Jægersborg Barracks on August 29, 1943, interrogations at the Shellhus, imprisonment in Vestre Prison before deportation to Neuengamme, and the evacuation with the White Buses to Sweden in April 1945.
In his effort to uncover the story, Rune has been in contact with ten archives across three countries and has, among other things, visited a warehouse that was once a concentration camp — now closed to the public — where many Danish resistance fighters lost their lives. He continues to search for new information about his father’s uncle’s time in the resistance.
